KET is a joint venture between Korea National Oil Corporation and SK Gas Co., Ltd. to build a commercial energy storage facility at North Port in Ulsan as a part of the government project ‘Northeast Asia Oil Hub Project”.

Currently, three LNG tanks(4.05 million barrels) and 12 petroleum product tanks(1.7 million barrels) construction is under progress targeting commercial operation service in 2024, and 65% of the construction progress has been achieved as of the end of 2022.

KET will continue to make efforts to achieve zero hazard, in-time completion, provide stable commercial operation, customized logistics services and diversify its business to establish hydrogen, ammonia infrastructure in response to eco-friendly energy demands. In the tank terminal construction stage and operation stage for more than 40 years, KET will induce new related industries such as LNG bunkering, LNG cooling and LNG trial service to vitalize the local economy.
